The smart people at XDA Developers have been cooking up a new kernel for the Samsung Nexus S, that is able to overclock the Hummingbird CPU at the heart of the Nexus S. Though it does not make your battery last longer, putting your Nexus S to the test at 1.2 GHz gives you pretty damn impressive performance. We have to emphasize, though, that it takes a bit of knowledge to mess with your kernel, so we would almost say ‘do not try this at home’. But then again: the whole of these tweaks ís to try them at home. Ah, well, if you’re up for some tweaking, make sure you read the descriptions and follow the steps as described.
